Every day hundreds and hundreds of adults and children alike were converging on the station and taking photographs of themselves by half a left luggage trolley that had been embedded into the wall to represent the entrance to a secret platform on a fictional train line.
These people wanted to believe in magic, but were confusing fiction with fact – and they had no idea just how close the two really were, and in this instance they were closer to the truth than they probably realised! Still at least they were at King’s Cross and not at the gates to Downing Street.
Now, if only she could find the file on Wand Regulations.
